Donna Gutowski is a 75-year-old woman who, for five years until his death in 2024 had been the caretaker for a 93-year-old man named Amiel Mokhiber Sr. Twice a week, she helped Amiel deal with the symptoms of late-stage Alzheimer’s disease, helping him in all areas of his life, from sunrise to sunset. She bathed, clothed, feeded, entertained, and took care of him while reminding him of who she was every 15 minutes or so.
However, in her every day life, she is a performing clown, bringing joy to her community as well, and she finds that this role to fulfill a similair feeling of being a caretaker for her community.
